Gz-psycholoog Philip Veerman praat met een van deze jongeren en beschrijft waarom meer aandacht voor deze groep belangrijk is.<\/p>\n<p>Andjenie vertelt dat zij blij is dat er eindelijk meer aandacht is voor jongeren zoals zij. \u201cIk wil graag dat andere jonge mantelzorgers niet hoeven mee te maken wat ik heb meegemaakt en van het kastje naar de muur worden gestuurd. Ik heb er niet voor gekozen om een jonge mantelzorger te zijn. Als kind kreeg ik te horen dat mijn vader nog maar zes maanden te leven had, maar uiteindelijk heb ik twaalf jaar voo hem gezorgd. Zijn zuurstofapparaat aansluiten, hem naar doktersafspraken brengen.
